Role Overview The Art & Craft Teacher will be responsible for delivering a creative, engaging, and skill-oriented Art curriculum aligned with the Cambridge framework. The teacher should foster artistic expression, critical thinking, and innovation while building strong foundational and advanced art skills in students. Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver Art lessons in accordance with Cambridge curriculum standards (Stages 7–10 / IGCSE / A Level, depending on school). Teach a variety of art forms including drawing, painting, sculpture, craftwork, mixed media, and digital art (if applicable). Develop project-based learning modules that encourage creativity and conceptual understanding. Prepare students for internal assessments, portfolios, exhibitions, and Cambridge examinations. Organize and curate art displays, exhibitions, and school events showcasing student work. Guide students in developing art portfolios for external competitions and higher education applications. Maintain a safe, inspiring, and well-organized art studio/classroom environment. Evaluate student progress using formative and summative assessments as per Cambridge guidelines. Collaborate with other faculty members to integrate art into cross-curricular projects. Manage art supplies, inventory, and classroom resources efficiently. Attend professional development sessions to stay updated with Cambridge teaching methodologies. Skills & Competencies Strong artistic and creative abilities across multiple mediums. Knowledge of Cambridge curriculum standards and assessment practices. Excellent classroom management and student engagement skills. Ability to inspire and nurture artistic talent. Strong communication, organization, and presentation skills. Proficiency in digital art tools (optional but preferred). Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Fine Arts (BFA/MFA) or Art Education. Cambridge training certification (preferred but not mandatory). Minimum 2–5 years of teaching experience in a Cambridge or international school setting (preferred). Strong portfolio showcasing personal artistic expertise.
