The technical support team located in Switzerland plays a key role in ensuring high customer satisfaction by providing prompt, comprehensive, and appropriately in-depth responses to questions, on both theory and software usage. The team conducts training courses and assists customers in their project development. Role Description To strengthen KISSsoft AG Support team, we are looking for an Application Engineer as part of the Gleason Global Engineering Center (GEC), in Bangalore, India. You will work with the Switzerland team while being employed by the GEC Bangalore. Your key responsibilities Usage support on user interface, graphics, reports, tables. Technical support on basic geometry, basic strength calculations. Provide modelling support for System Module. Write, update tutorials, exercises, theory slides. Generate video tutorials, video instructions and educational videos for sale through webshop. Resolve software installation issues. Conduct basic online training. Present software features at webinars and academies. Assist in engineering projects by converting KISSsoft models to CAD models. Contribute to consultancy projects related to gear, gearbox or transmission design within a global gear specialist team. Your background Degree in mechanical engineering with a focus on machine elements design and/or engineering analysis. At least 2 years of experience in KISSsoft or similar calculation software or equivalent experience. Preferred experience - Worked at a company which produces vehicle/tractor or industrial transmissions as a development engineer. Proficiency in a CAD system for 3D modelling and experience with 2D manufacturing drawings of transmission components. Your attributes You put customer needs first. You have excellent English, spoken and writing; spoken English is easy to understand. You are helpful, patient, eager to learn and committed to exceeding customer expectations. You are responsive, polite, willing to go the extra mile, reactive, follow instructions. You have a flair for documentation, presentation, visualization. Note Traveling in India not required. Support, training and engineering projects are conducted remotely, through a ticket system and web-based collaboration tools.
