As an Automation Tester with 6 to 8 years of total experience, including 4.5 to 5 years of automation experience, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts using Python-based Selenium. Collaborating with developers and product teams, you will define test cases to ensure comprehensive test coverage. Utilizing TestNG and Cucumber for behavior-driven development (BDD), you will automate tests using the Gherkin language. Analyzing test results and providing detailed reports on defects and issues will be part of your responsibilities. You will also work on continuously improving the testing process and framework for increased efficiency. Participation in code reviews and contribution to best practices for automation testing will be expected. To qualify for this role, you should have a strong knowledge of Python and experience with Selenium WebDriver. Familiarity with TestNG and experience in implementing Cucumber with Gherkin for BDD is essential. An understanding of various testing methodologies and best practices, as well as experience with CI/CD tools and integrating automated tests into the build process, are required. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail are also important attributes. Preferred qualifications include experience with other automation tools or frameworks, knowledge of performance testing and load testing methodologies, strong communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team.
