Assignment Brief — Solution Architects on Demand (Freelance / Pre-Sales Support) Target disciplines: Cloud | Application Development | AI/ML | Data | Cybersecurit About the Engagement A U.S.–based technology services firm with a dedicated office in India is assembling a bench of senior Solution Architects on Demand. These freelance experts will be activated on a project-by-project basis to work with our Sales & Bid Management teams during the pre-sales phase, providing rapid effort estimates, solution blueprints, and technical risk assessments for US SLED and Federal Clients. Key point: Architects focus on solutioning; final pricing and commercial terms are handled by the company’s Sales organization, however having expertise in Pricing will be added advantage. Core Responsibilities 1. Engage with Sales Leads to interpret RFP/RFI requirements and compliance clauses. 2. Draft high-level and, when required, low-level solution architectures (diagrams, BOMs, toolchain selections). 3. Quantify level-of-effort (LoE), resource mix, schedule assumptions, and technical risk items in company templates. 4. Participate in client orals / Q&A sessions to defend architectural choices. 5. Hand-off signed-off artifacts to delivery teams once a bid is won. Candidate Profile Required • Experience: 10–15 years in full-stack software / systems engineering (.Net/J2ee). including 3–4 years as a hands-on Solution Architect. • Domain Depth: Proven solution ownership in at least one of the five disciplines listed; cross-domain fluency is a plus. • Public-Sector Exposure: Prior work with U.S. Federal/State agencies or System Integrators (e.g., FAR-driven bids, FedRAMP, FISMA, CMMC) is mandatory. • Methodologies & Tools: TOGAF or SAFe familiarity, architecture modeling (Sparx EA, Visio, Lucid), estimation frameworks (Function Points, Story Points), DevSecOps pipelines. • Soft Skills: Pre-sales storytelling, stakeholder management across time zones, crisp written deliverables. • Certifications (preferred): AWS/Azure/GCP Professional Architect, CISSP, PMP, TOGAF, OCI-certs for GovCloud, or equivalent
