As a GIS Engineer at Geosys, you will be responsible for using various Geospatial tools in a production-oriented role focused on meeting quality and delivery performance targets to support the organization's operational commitments. You will report to the Team Lead, GIS Operations, collaborate with the Operations team, and interact with clients from different organizations. Your key responsibilities and accountabilities will include editing and maintaining geospatial datasets, ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and reliability of all data, analyzing spatial data for reports and presentations, preparing GIS datasets, maps, and database reports, assisting in onboarding and training clients and new employees, as well as testing, supporting, deploying tools, and preparing technical documentation. To be eligible for this role, you should have a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Sciences/Geography/Geology, a Diploma in Civil/Mechanical Engineering, experience with survey data in a CAD environment, and proficiency in GIS web and mobile field data collection applications. Operational level experience in editing and maintaining spatial data in GIS is preferred. You should possess strong interpersonal skills, the ability to work effectively in a team, adaptability to work with customers and co-workers, and the capability to follow business process workflows. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, skills in Image Classification using Digital and Visual Image Analysis, experience with GIS tools like ESRI ArcMap and ArcGIS Pro, and familiarity with various Geospatial software and tools are necessary. Attention to detail and good written and oral communication skills in English and National/Regional Language are also required.
