Job Title:

Department:

Qualification & Experience:

MBBS with MS/DNB in General Surgery (MCI/NMC recognized institute)
Fellowship/Training in Laparoscopic Surgery (preferred)
Valid State Medical Council Registration (mandatory)
Minimum [3–5] years of post-PG experience in General & Laparoscopic Surgery

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

Clinical Duties:

Perform general and laparoscopic surgical procedures (e.g., hernia repair, appendectomy, cholecystectomy, etc.).
Provide pre-operative and post-operative care to patients.
Attend OPD consultations, evaluate patients for surgical intervention.
Perform emergency and elective surgeries as per hospital protocols.
Handle surgical complications efficiently and ensure best clinical outcomes.

Administrative & Supportive Roles:

Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in EMR or patient files.
Participate in surgical audit, case discussions, and mortality/morbidity reviews.
Coordinate with anesthesiologists, nursing staff, and other departments.
Adhere to infection control policies, surgical safety checklists, and hospital SOPs.

Patient Interaction:

Counsel patients and their families on surgical procedures, risks, and recovery.
Provide clear discharge instructions and follow-up plans.
Ensure informed consent is obtained before all procedures.

Skills Required:

Proficiency in laparoscopic techniques and use of surgical instruments.
Strong diagnostic, decision-making, and procedural skills.
Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team environment.
Good communication and patient counseling abilities.

Working Hours:
