Role Overview

The General Science Teacher – Competitive Exams will be responsible for teaching Physics, Chemistry, Biology & Basic Science concepts in an exam-oriented manner for various one-day and competitive exams such as SSC, Railway, Defence, Police, State Exams, Teaching Exams and other Govt. jobs, through live classes from our digital studio (work from office).

Is role ka main focus hai students ko concept clarity + exam pattern + PYQs + MCQs ke through General Science itna strong karna ki objective questions easily solve ho sakein.

Key Responsibilities1. Live Teaching (General Science – Competitive Exams)

• Conduct live General Science classes (YouTube/App/Studio) for SSC, Railway, Defence, Police, State Exams, Teaching Exams, etc.
• Cover topics like:
• Physics: Motion, Work, Energy, Light, Sound, Heat, Electricity, Force, Pressure, Simple Machines, etc.
• Chemistry: Matter, Elements & Compounds, Acids–Bases–Salts, Metals & Non-metals, Everyday Chemistry, Atomic Structure (basic), etc.
• Biology: Human Body systems, Nutrition, Diseases, Blood, Respiration, Reproduction (basic), Plants & Animals, Microorganisms, etc.
• Environment & General Awareness in Science: Pollution, Conservation, Space Science basics, Inventions & Discoveries, Scientists, etc.
• Explain concepts in simple, student-friendly language (mainly Hindi, with necessary English terms).

2. Exam-Oriented Content Delivery

• Teach through Previous Year Questions (PYQs), chapter-wise MCQs, and full-length practice sets.
• Highlight important facts, one-liners, frequently asked topics, and high-weightage areas for each exam.
• Conduct revision classes, crash courses, and marathon sessions before major exams.

3. Content Creation & Academic Planning

• Prepare:
• Topic-wise class notes / theory handouts
• MCQ question banks (easy to high level)
• Chapter-wise & mixed tests
• PDF notes for students (summary + expected questions)
• Align content strictly with SSC, Railway, Defence, Police, State Exams, Teaching syllabus & pattern.
• Coordinate with content team for batches, test series, and special practice modules.

4. Student Engagement & Doubt Solving

• Take live doubts during/after class via chat/comments.
• Conduct dedicated doubt-solving sessions for tricky topics and frequently wrong questions.
• Use polls, live quizzes, rapid-fire questions to make classes interactive & engaging.

5. Academic Discipline & Coordination

• Follow the academic planner, timetable, and course completion deadlines.
• Coordinate with Academic Head / Batch Coordinator for schedule, extra classes, test discussions, etc.
• Attend regular faculty meetings, training workshops, and academic reviews.

6. Studio & Digital Teaching Setup

• Use digital studio tools – camera, mic, digital board, PPT, screen share, etc. effectively.
• Ensure classes are properly recorded, titled, and saved as per system.
• Coordinate with the technical team for smooth live streaming and recordings.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• Student attendance & engagement in live classes.
• Student feedback & rating for science classes.
• Improvement in students’ test scores in General Science section.
• Timely & complete coverage of syllabus and planned topics.
• Quality and consistency of notes, MCQs, tests, and revision content.

Eligibility & Qualifications

• Minimum Graduation in Science stream (B.Sc). Preference for:
• B.Sc (Physics/Chemistry/Biology) / B.Sc General / B.Sc (Life Sciences)
• B.Ed / M.Sc (Science subjects) will be an added advantage.
• Prior teaching experience in General Science for competitive exams will be preferred, but passionate freshers with strong subject knowledge can also apply.
• Strong understanding of General Science syllabus of SSC, Railway, Defence, Police & State exams.

Skills & Competencies

• Excellent command over basic & applied General Science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology).
• Ability to teach in Hindi (primary medium) with proper use of English exam terminology.
• Strong presentation and explanation skills, with focus on clarity and simplification.
• Comfortable with digital teaching tools – PPT, PDF creation, digital board, pen tablet.
• Student-friendly, motivational, and result-oriented mindset.
• Punctual, disciplined, and committed to regular high-quality classes.

Work Schedule

• Mode: Work from Office (airGurukul Studio – Greater Noida)
• Full-time, 6 days a week (1 weekly off – [Day])
• Class timings as per academic schedule; may include morning/evening batches.
• Extra classes during exam seasons, marathons, and revision weeks may be required.
