Role & responsibilities : 1. Strategic Leadership & Growth Develop and execute the divisions short- and long-term business strategy aligned with WILs corporate goals. Identify and explore new market segments in marine, hydel, planetary gearboxes, sugar, and cement. Pursue design partnerships for marine gearboxes and, where feasible, joint ventures on favourable terms to expand technology access and market reach. Manage and implement the expansion plan , including setting up infrastructure and capabilities for future growth. 2. Business Development & Client Relations Build and maintain strong relationships with OEMs, EPC contractors, Windmill operators, Defence /naval clients, hydropower operators, and international partners. Lead high-value negotiations, long-term contracts, and strategic alliances. Build and expand offerings to include spares and services , with a revenue focus on aftermarket opportunities across marine, windmill, sugar and cement industries. Develop a network for execution of spares and services order to ensure rapid response to client needs. 3. Product & Technology Management Oversee design, R&D, and engineering of high-performance gear systems, including API-613 standard gearboxes, planetary drives, marine propulsion units, hydel gearboxes, and Kodak gearboxes . Undertake review of existing designs of gearbox to identify opportunities for cost reduction Build and lead a dedicated design team to support in-house innovation and client-specific solutions. Promote technology collaborations to enhance product offerings and maintain competitive advantage. Monitor global trends in gearbox technology and ensure continuous innovation. 4. Operations & Manufacturing Excellence Manage end-to-end operations: gear cutting, grinding, heat treatment, assembly, testing, and re-engineering. Ensure strict adherence to quality standards (Lloyds, ABS, IRS, DNV, ISO). Oversee managing approvals and collections to support timely delivery and healthy cash flows. Optimize production processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs. Look for avenue to reduce cost in supply chain and sub-contracting. 5. Financial & P&L Responsibility Own the divisions P&L, ensuring revenue growth, profitability, and cost control. Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, and investment plans. Ensure profitability from both new product sales and aftermarket service contracts. Preferred candidate profile Education: B.E./B. Tech in Mechanical/Production Engineering; MBA preferred. Experience: 20–25 years in the gear manufacturing industry, with at least 8–10 years in a senior leadership role. Proven track record of managing large-scale manufacturing operations and delivering profitable growth. Strong exposure to domestic and export markets, with experience in marine, hydel, and planetary gearboxes.

JOB DESCRIPTION 1) Technical Skills: a. In depth knowledge of Transmission / Gear Box manufacturing and Process specific knowhow b. Hands on experience on handling of Torque measuring and monitoring equipments. c. Experienced in Gear Manufacturing processes like Hobbing, Shaping, Shaving, Profile grinding, Gear Honing etc. d. Proficient in understanding Transmission EOL (End of line) testing, Analysis and able to drive improvement programs e. In depth knowledge of critical parts like Hydraulic Control Unit, Clutch assembly, Transmission Control unit and other critical electrical and electronic accessories associated with Transmission f. Proficient in Process Audit inline with AIAG/VDI/VDA guidelines. g. Proficient in latest data analysis, SPC and MSA techniques. e. Proficient in Project Management inline with APQP/PPAP requirements. 2) Quality Management System (QMS): a. Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations. b. Ensure QMS documentation is up-to-date, accessible, and effectively communicated to relevant stakeholders. 3) Quality Assurance and Control: a. Establish and enforce quality control procedures, standards, and inspection processes to monitor and maintain product and service quality. b. Conduct audits and assessments to identify non-conformities and areas for improvement. c. Develop and implement corrective and preventive action plans to address quality issues. d. New Project development activities with effective usage of APQP/PPAP process. 4) Leadership and Team Management: a. Kinetic Engineering Ltd. is hiring a Quality Engineer with strong expertise in gear manufacturing processes . This position is based at our Ahilyanagar (Ahmednagar) plant. The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience in quality assurance across CNC machining processes like Turning, Hobbing, Shaving, Shaping, HMC, VMC , specifically for gears and transmission components. Key Responsibilities: Ensure quality compliance in gear manufacturing processes including CNC Turning, Gear Hobbing, Gear Shaving, Gear Shaping, HMC, and VMC operations. Perform in-process or final inspections using precision instruments (micrometers, gear testers, CMM, etc.). Monitor machining parameters and ensure dimensional and profile accuracy of gears.
