Description
As a Senior Systems Engineer at our organization, you will be responsible for architecting and implementing scalable, reliable, and secure cloud infrastructure using Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Kubernetes. Your role will involve overseeing the deployment, management, and scaling of containerized applications, as well as developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for automation purposes. In this position, you will play a crucial role in implementing monitoring solutions and troubleshooting issues related to cloud infrastructure and applications. Ensuring the security of the cloud infrastructure by implementing best practices and compliance requirements will also be a key part of your responsibilities. Collaboration with development, operations, and security teams will be essential to ensure the seamless integration and delivery of applications. To be successful in this role, you must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in cloud engineering, with at least 3 years focused on GCP and Kubernetes. Proficiency in GCP services such as Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions, and BigQuery is required. Strong knowledge of Kubernetes, experience with containerization technologies like Docker, and familiarity with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Ansible are also necessary. Additionally, proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Bash, or similar is desired. Experience with other cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure, knowledge of DevOps practices and tools, and experience with microservices architecture and serverless computing are considered advantageous. Holding certifications such as GCP Professional Cloud Architect or GCP Professional DevOps Engineer would be a plus. Soft skills such as excellent problem-solving abilities, strong communication skills, and a collaborative mindset are highly valued in this role.
