Role Overview: As a Lead Programmer Analyst specializing in GCP Data Engineering, you will be responsible for utilizing your extensive experience and skills in data engineering to lead and drive projects related to Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Your primary focus will be on developing solutions using GCP services such as BigQuery, DataProc, Dataflow, and Dataform. Additionally, you will be required to have a strong command over SQL, Python, and Pyspark to effectively fulfill your responsibilities. Key Responsibilities: - Utilize your 5 to 7 years of data engineering experience to design and implement solutions using GCP services. - Develop and maintain data pipelines using tools like BigQuery, DataProc, and Dataflow. - Write efficient code in SQL, Python, and Pyspark to manipulate and analyze data effectively. - Implement and manage workflows using Airflow and version control using Git. - Collaborate with the team to establish CI/CD pipelines for continuous integration and deployment. - Demonstrate proficiency in Cloud SQL and Dataplex technologies. - Apply your understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) to ensure the successful delivery of projects. - Work in accordance with Agile methodologies to deliver high-quality solutions within specified timelines. - Engage in regular communication with clients, providing daily status reports on project progress. - Exhibit strong oral and written communication skills to effectively convey technical information. - Foster a collaborative team environment by actively participating and contributing to team discussions. - Demonstrate proactive and adaptive behavior to address challenges and drive project success. - Utilize your analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve technical issues efficiently. Qualifications Required: - 5 to 7 years of experience in data engineering. - Strong development skills in GCP services like BigQuery, DataProc, Dataflow, and Dataform. - Proficiency in SQL, Python, and Pyspark. - Experience with Airflow, Git, and CI/CD pipelines. - Familiarity with Cloud SQL and Dataplex is a plus. - Understanding of the SDLC and Agile methodologies. - Excellent communication skills, both oral and written. - Ability to work effectively in a team environment. - Proactive attitude and adaptability to changing project requirements.
