Job Summary:

GCP Data Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Python, BigQuery, and GCP Dataflow.
Implement efficient data models, partitioning, and clustering strategies for analytical workloads.
Develop and orchestrate workflows using Cloud Composer (Airflow).
Build and manage real-time and batch data processing pipelines.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data solutions into business processes.
Ensure data quality, security, and compliance across all data environments.
Perform cost optimization and performance tuning for BigQuery and other GCP services.
Troubleshoot and resolve production data issues proactively.

Required Skills:

3+ years of experience in data engineering with strong proficiency in Python and SQL.
Hands-on experience with GCP services BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Dataproc, and Composer (Airflow).
Strong understanding of ETL/ELT frameworks, data modeling, and data architecture.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control tools like Git.
Experience in data performance optimization and scalable design principles.

Preferred Skills:

Experience building streaming data pipelines and real-time analytics.
Exposure to Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
Understanding of data lake architectures and hybrid data ecosystems.
Basic knowledge of ML pipelines or Vertex AI on GCP is an advantage.
Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and orchestration tools (Kubernetes / GKE).
