A person Responsible for overseeing the daily operations of transportation and logistics to ensure safe, timely, and cost-effective delivery of goods from consignor to consignee. The role involves planning and scheduling vehicle deployment, coordinating with clients and internal teams, and ensuring proper documentation like LR, E-way bills, and PODs. The manager monitors vehicle movement, supervises loading and unloading activities, and ensures compliance with transport and safety regulations. Responsibilities also include managing drivers, maintaining vehicle fitness and permits, reducing transit delays, and optimizing fuel and freight costs. The Transport Manager must prepare regular MIS reports, track delivery performance, and handle freight billing and POD submissions.
