As an Asst Manager / Manager - SQA at Simpleenergy, based in Krishnagiri, Hosur, you will be responsible for achieving Quality Targets of supplier parts by overseeing the robust part development and approval process of SEPL designed structural parts, such as 2W frame and handle bar, ensuring they meet Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and People targets. To be successful in this role, you will be expected to: - Ensure zero defects in fabricated parts by involving suppliers early in the part development process. - Verify that supplier process design can meet the required Quality, Cost, and Delivery (QCD) requirements of SEPL, including prevention and detection methods. - Ensure that key parameters like PIST value, weld penetration, and SPR meet SEPL targets. - Facilitate the timely approval of PPAP- PSW sign off, APQP reviews, IPTR / SPTR trials conducted at the supplier. - Implement corrective and preventive actions within defined timelines and ensure their sustainability. - Plan and execute supplier readiness for new product launches. Qualifications and skills required for this role include: - Graduation in Mechanical / Automobile Engineering - 12+ years of experience in part development and approval process of fabricated parts, specifically 2W frames (chassis) and other components. - Proficiency in gauge planning, fixturing, process variance analysis, weld distortion study, weld penetration, and deployment of past learnings to prevent issues from recurring. - Exposure to the latest welding technology. - Familiarity with the measurement of frames using CMM, acceptance gauges, etc. - Involvement in the DAP of fixtures and gauges. - Analysis of vehicle assembly build issues and resolution. - Experience in supplier audit and assessment. - Team management skills to guide team members towards organizational goals. - Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities in Fabrication parts. - Knowledge of software/tools/systems like Minitab, APQP, PPAP, Metrology (CMM/ Faro arm), Lean Six Sigma (Black Belt preferable), Excel, and Powerpoint operations.
