Role & responsibilities Roles and Responsibilities of Special Educator: 1. Create Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) based on each student's learning needs. 2. Adapt and modify lessons to suit the abilities of special needs students. 3. Provide one-on-one and small group support for students who need extra help. 4. Manage classroom behavior with patience and positive techniques. 5. Track and assess student progress regularly and update plans as needed. 6. Work closely with parents, therapists, and other teachers to support student development. 7. Maintain accurate student records, reports, and documentation. 8. Use assistive devices and technology to enhance student learning. 9. Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment. 10. Stay updated on best practices and strategies in special education. Preferred candidate profile Preferred Candidate Profile: 1. Graduate/Postgraduate in Special Education or related field. 2. RCI Certification (Registered with the Rehabilitation Council of India) preferred. 3. 0-3 years of experience in teaching children with special needs (passionate freshers may also apply). 4. Good knowledge of learning disabilities and developmental disorders (Autism, ADHD, etc.). 5. Skilled in preparing and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs). 6. Strong communication and coordination skills with parents, staff, and therapists. 7. Patient, empathetic, and caring personality. 8. Ability to manage classroom behavior calmly and effectively. 9. Comfortable using assistive learning tools and technology. 10. A positive team player with a flexible and adaptive teaching approach to Gateway Academy.
As a faculty member for Engineering Competitive Exam EEE,ECE,CIVIL,MECH Coaching, you will be responsible for teaching and mentoring students preparing for exams such as TNPSC CTSE,TNPSC CESE,TNEB AE, PSUs, State Engineering Exams, and other technical competitive tests. Your role involves delivering high-quality lectures, developing study materials, conducting tests, and guiding students toward success. Deliver engaging and concept-driven lectures in your subject expertise (e.g., Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Electronics, Computer Science, etc.). Simplify complex engineering concepts to help students grasp fundamental and advanced topics. Conduct doubt-clearing sessions and provide personalized mentoring to students.
