Position Overview : The AGM / DGM – Commercial Business INDIA (API & Excipients) is responsible for driving business growth, achieving revenue targets, and expanding market presence for the company’s portfolio of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs) and Excipients. The role involves strategic planning, key account management, customer relationships, opportunity development, forecasting, and cross-functional coordination to ensure successful commercial execution. Key Responsibilities: Sales and business development: Driving domestic sales for APIs and Excipients, and developing and executing business development plans to meet company objectives. Market analysis: Analyzing market opportunities, mapping customers, developing pricing strategies, and designing promotional plans. Customer engagement: Conducting customer visits, building strong relationships, and handling inquiries and order finalization. Sales management: Meeting sales targets, creating and following sales plans, and preparing sales reports. Strategy and planning: Developing and executing sales strategies, forecasting, and planning to increase efficiency and profit. Team and cross-functional coordination: Working with technical teams to create proposals and coordinating with other departments to meet client needs. Required skills and qualifications Experience: 10+ YEARS OF EXPERIENCE background in pharmaceutical or chemical sales is often required, with specific experience in APIs being a strong advantage. Skills: Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills are essential. Technical proficiency: Proficiency in computer skills, especially MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), is necessary. Travel: A willingness to travel is often required for customer visits and meetings. Business acumen: Ability to handle sales pressure, work across different time zones, and understand market dynamics is important
