Job Opportunity: Estimation Engineer (Structural Steel OR O&G/Pressure Vessel) Location: Thane, Maharashtra Company: GEW India Pvt Ltd (Galadari Engineering) Estimation Engineer Structural Steel Job Description: 1. Monitor inventory levels to ensure optimal stock levels and prevent overstock or stockouts. 2. Review proposals, specifications, and drawings 3. Attend pre-bid and other meetings to determine scope-of-work and required contents of project estimates 4. Creates and/or reviews final estimate packages in concert with management/operations personnel prior to formal quotation for accuracy and completeness 5. Lead bid strategy and presentation meetings as requested 6. Review terms and conditions of subcontractor and vendor quotes; serve as a liaison with subcontractors and vendors during the bidding process 7. Prepares estimates for extra work items, change orders, credits, overruns, etc. 8. Assists with project file maintenance throughout project lifecycle 9. Communicate and reinforce the company vision, values and goals 10. Other tasks as requested Estimation Engineer O&G/ Pressure Vessel Job Description Responsible for estimating the jobs of API Tanks, Pressure Vessels, Filter Vessels, Normal Tanks, Skid Packages, Heat Exchangers, Pipe Spools, Light/Medium/Heavy structural works and associated works. Complete review all RFQ documents, client specification, data sheet and all other relevant documents. Preparation of BOQ & estimation sheet with costing for all RFQs in-line with pre-order design & project specification Attend pre-bid and other meetings to determine scope-of-work and required contents of project estimates Negotiate with suppliers on lead-time, cost and quality so as to obtain the maximum benefit for company Creates and/or reviews final estimate packages in concert with management/operations personnel prior to formal quotation for accuracy and completeness Lead bid strategy and presentation meetings as requested Review terms and conditions of subcontractor and vendor quotes; serve as a liaison with subcontractors and vendors during the bidding process Prepares estimates for extra work items, change orders, credits, overruns, etc. Prepare Budget Sheet (after Order) and will submit the same to project engineer & accounts department with design & estimation manager approval. Assists with project file maintenance throughout project lifecycle Communicate and reinforce the company vision, values and goals Carry out other tasks as assigned Knowledge & Skill Set: Qualifications: College degree in Engineering Civil or Mechanical Experience: Should have minimum 6 years' experience in Estimation of Steel Structure Fabrication & Erection Works Should Take Bill of Materials (BOM) from the Customer Drawings, Project Specification OR BOQ Advanced mathematical skill to calculate and interpret data using percentages, ratios, averages, and medians.
