A Business Development Officer (BDO) is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing strategies to increase revenue, and building strong client relationships. Key duties include conducting market research, prospecting and acquiring new clients, generating sales proposals, and collaborating with sales and marketing teams to achieve business goals Core responsibilities Strategy and planning: Create and execute business plans, identify new growth opportunities, and develop strategies to expand the customer base. Market research: Conduct market research to identify trends, understand competitor activities, and discover new business prospects. Sales and lead generation: Prospect new clients, generate leads through various channels, and prepare and present proposals to potential clients. Client relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with both new and existing clients. Collaboration: Work closely with sales, marketing, and other cross-functional teams to align on and achieve collective goals. Performance analysis: Track and report on key performance metrics, analyze financial data, and monitor expenses against budgets.
