FX Strategy Associate

Role Overview: As an Associate strategist in the Research division of UBS, you will have the opportunity to dive into data and assess the big picture in the currency markets. Your main responsibilities will include building and maintaining databases/charts, developing quantitative tools for analysis and forecasting currency movements, as well as assisting in the creation of regular FX research notes and deep dives into macroeconomic topics. Key Responsibilities: - Build and maintain databases and charts related to the analysis of currency markets - Develop quantitative tools, models, and frameworks to analyze and forecast currency movements - Assist in the design and publication of regular FX research notes and ad-hoc deep dives into macro topics Qualifications Required: - Proficient in Excel, with basic knowledge of econometric packages like R, Eviews, etc., and market data packages such as Macrobond, Bloomberg, CEIC - Willingness to learn new technical skills as needed - Familiarity with International Economics and eagerness to learn about foreign exchange markets - Highly attentive to detail and able to complete tasks accurately within tight deadlines - Strong written and verbal communication skills - Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting About the Company: UBS is the world's largest and only truly global wealth manager, operating through four business divisions: Global Wealth Management, Personal & Corporate Banking, Asset Management, and the Investment Bank.
