Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced Design Manager with strong technical expertise in designing firefighting systems as per NBC and NFPA codes in India. The candidate will lead the design function, manage a team of draughtsmen, and ensure delivery of accurate, efficient, and compliant design outputs for diverse projects across sectors. Key Responsibilities: Lead the preparation, review, and finalization of firefighting system designs, drawings, and calculations. Ensure compliance with NBC, NFPA, IS, and other applicable codes and standards. Coordinate with customer, consultant for approval of design drawings submitted. Coordinate with project, derive BOQ, and execution teams to provide design support during bidding and project execution. Manage, mentor, and monitor a team of draughtsmen, ensuring high-quality drawings and timely delivery. Liaise with clients, consultants, and statutory bodies to resolve technical queries. Conduct design reviews and incorporate feedback to improve system efficiency and compliance. Stay updated with evolving codes, standards, and technologies in fire safety engineering. Qualifications & Skills: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Fire Engineering (or equivalent). 8–12 years of experience in firefighting system design. Strong knowledge of NBC, NFPA, and IS codes. Proven team management and leadership skills. Proficiency in AutoCAD and design software tools.
