Furnace Operator - Cast Iron

As a Metal Pourer, your role involves pouring and regulating the flow of molten metal into molds and forms to produce ingots or other castings using ladles or hand-controlled mechanisms. You will be responsible for moving the ready metal to the pouring area with the help of a crane or other moving systems. Additionally, you will determine and add metal to molds to compensate for shrinkage and ensure molds are clean, smooth, and properly coated.
