Job Purpose: The Manager/Assistant Manager – Purchase will be responsible for the strategic procurement of raw materials, components, and services required for EOT crane manufacturing. The role involves vendor development, cost control, timely procurement, and compliance with company standards and delivery schedules. Key Responsibilities: Plan, manage, and execute all procurement activities for mechanical, electrical, and structural components. Develop and maintain vendor relationships, ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely deliveries. Negotiate contracts, prices, and delivery terms with suppliers to optimize procurement cost. Issue purchase orders and track order status, delivery schedules, and invoices. Work closely with the Design, Production, Stores, and Accounts departments to align procurement with project timelines. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends, material availability, and alternate sourcing. Monitor and manage inventory levels in coordination with the stores and warehouse teams. Ensure compliance with internal procurement processes and documentation standards. Address non-conformance issues with vendors and take corrective actions. Prepare reports on procurement KPIs, cost savings, and supplier performance. Key Skills & Competencies: Strong negotiation and vendor management skills. Sound knowledge of mechanical/electrical components used in crane manufacturing. Familiarity with sourcing fabrication items, motors, gearboxes, panels, etc. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Working knowledge of ERP systems. Analytical mindset with attention to detail and accuracy. Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical) or Commerce. Postgraduate qualification in Materials Management / Supply Chain will be an advantage. Minimum 6–8 years of relevant experience in procurement, preferably in a crane or heavy engineering/manufacturing industry. Candidates with experience in EOT crane manufacturing will be given preference.
Job Purpose: To plan, oversee, and optimize day-to-day operational activities across manufacturing, project execution, erection & commissioning, procurement coordination, and logistics. The Operations Manager will ensure timely delivery of projects, cost efficiency, interdepartmental coordination, and adherence to quality and safety standards. Key Responsibilities: 1. Project Execution Oversight Oversee Operations of the Design, Quality, Purchases, Document Control, Outsourcing, Production, Stores and Site E & C departments[BB1] Monitor project progress and resolve on-site issues with the Project and Service teams Ensure proper documentation, client communication, and milestone tracking 3. Supply Chain & Procurement Coordination Liaise with the Purchase and Stores teams to ensure timely availability of materials Assist in vendor development and performance tracking Optimize inventory levels and logistics planning 4. Interdepartmental Coordination Work closely with Design, Quality, Purchases, Document Control, Outsourcing, Production, Stores, and Sales departments[BB2] Conduct weekly review meetings and drive cross-functional alignment Act as the central point for internal operations and client coordination 5.
