Description
As a Lead I - Software Engineering at UST in the role of Full Stack Developer, you will play a crucial part in designing and maintaining both front-end and back-end application components. Your innovative ideas will drive development processes, particularly for research projects, as you work towards developing scalable and maintainable software solutions. Your responsibilities will also include implementing frontend applications using modern JavaScript frameworks, building server-side logic using relevant programming languages and frameworks, managing databases for data storage and retrieval, developing and integrating APIs, implementing security measures, and testing software. Collaboration with interdisciplinary and cross-functional teams will be essential, as you drive innovation by staying updated with new technologies. Key Responsibilities: - Design and maintain front-end and back-end application components - Offer innovative ideas to development processes, particularly for research projects - Develop scalable and maintainable software solutions - Implement frontend applications using modern JavaScript frameworks - Build server-side logic using relevant programming languages and frameworks - Manage databases for data storage and retrieval - Develop and integrate APIs - Implement security measures and test software - Collaborate with interdisciplinary and cross-functional teams - Drive innovation by staying updated with new technologies Qualifications Required: - Education: A bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent experience - Experience: Demonstrated experience as a Full Stack Developer, ideally in an R&D environment - Technical Skills: Proficiency in a backend language (e.g., Python), frameworks (e.g., Flask/Django), frontend technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, modern frameworks), containerization (Docker), Git, and databases. Experience with cloud services and CI/CD is a plus - Soft Skills: Collaboration, problem-solving, communication, teamwork, the ability to manage multiple tasks, and a willingness to learn At UST, embracing values such as humility, humanity, and integrity is paramount.
