About the job We are looking for a qualified IT Lead to join our growing IT team. You will lead the back office IT team and maintain computer systems and networks aiming for the highest functionality. You will also train users of the systems to make appropriate and safe usage of the IT infrastructure. Your goal is to build and maintain updated and efficient computer systems and networks to optimize the role of technology on business sustainability. Responsibilities & Tasks Desktop & application support Connect, set up and check Macs and PCs and peripherals for normal operation. Perform routine maintenance tasks, including installing basic software packages and setting common options. Perform basic Mac and PC hardware repairs and upgrades. Maintain Mac images for installing new systems. Detect, diagnose and resolve Mac and PC, peripheral and application errors. Advise on compatibility of hardware, applications and operating systems, according to user requirements. Server, printer and network support Set up hardware and perform basic checking of networked PCs and Macs as well as other network equipment. Perform routine maintenance tasks for user accounts; run basic network monitoring reports and utilities. Install and set basic configuration options for equipment such as switches and routers. Install software and updates on the file servers; maintain hardware and software of the server; set disk space and printer quotas; create network shares and manage access rights; monitor system logs as well as sync logs. Maintain and install printers where applicable. Configuration & Installation Update records of installed hardware and software; maintain a software library and store original copies of installed applications. Plan, record and implement changes to hardware and applications; collate and interpret results of testing and advise if goods are fit for use. Make sure all IT documentation is kept up to date. Support Request Management Investigate requests for support; record diagnostic information, retrieve details of similar requests and either resolve or escalate to the appropriate level. Respond to support requests according to FroQ procedures, recording detailed diagnostic information and using appropriate knowledge bases/logs to inform diagnosis and resolution. Determine whether an immediate solution is both required and possible; ensure steps are taken to find a permanent solution if not immediately possible. Interpret detailed diagnostic information; monitor and manage server logs and use them to inform developments and support procedures; produce reports from support logs to provide basic management information on the volume and nature of requests. Supplier/Vendor contact Make sure we have good and healthy contacts with solid suppliers. Investigate and propose new suppliers where needed. Contract negotiations. Price negotiations and comparison. Your profile You have a thorough knowledge of computer software and hardware and a variety of internet applications, networks and operating systems (both Windows and Mac). The ideal candidate will also have great troubleshooting abilities and attention to detail. We are looking for a Project Associate / Owner position. Location: Chennai/Coimbatore (Work from office). Salary Range: 4 LPA - 7 LPA. Office Timings: 12.00 - 8.30 PM IST. One Saturday in a month will be working. Notice: Immediate - 60 days. As a Project Owner/Associate, you would collaborate with several stakeholders including Graphic production members, QCs, Client service managers from the Netherlands, and international customers to ensure project quality and timely delivery.
