As an IB DP French Teacher at Teacher Pool in India, you will be responsible for teaching French language and literature to IB Diploma Programme students. Your role will involve developing and implementing engaging lesson plans aligned with IB standards, assessing student performance, and creating a classroom environment that fosters learning and personal growth. You will need to adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles, encourage student participation, and ensure that all students understand key concepts and achieve learning outcomes. In addition to teaching responsibilities, you will contribute to curriculum development, enhance IB teaching resources, and communicate effectively with students and parents regarding progress and challenges. Professional development and staying updated with the IB curriculum are essential aspects of this role. Organizing and participating in extracurricular French language activities, maintaining discipline in the classroom, and collaborating with fellow educators to share best practices are also part of your responsibilities. To qualify for this position, you should have a Masters/Bachelor's degree and a minimum C1 level certification in French, along with a teaching certification relevant to teaching French and the IB curriculum. A minimum of 3 years of teaching experience, preferably in an IB setting, is required. Proven fluency in spoken and written French, in-depth knowledge of the IB Diploma Programme and its assessment methods, strong organizational and time-management skills, and excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential. Your ability to motivate and inspire students, integrate technology in the classroom, commit to ongoing professional development, work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues, demonstrate cultural sensitivity and awareness, foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment, and exhibit strong analytical and problem-solving skills will be key to your success in this role. Flexibility and adaptability in teaching methods, along with providing constructive feedback to students for improvement, will also be important aspects of your responsibilities.
