Founding Full-Stack Engineer

As a technical teammate at Gayborhood in Bengaluru, you will be responsible for delivering a lean but production-ready MVP mobile app, organizer web portal, and back end within an eight-week timeframe. Your role will involve owning the entire build process, implementing modern coding practices, and establishing the technical foundation for rapid post-launch iterations. Your key responsibilities will include: - Owning the technology stack, including React Native for consumer mobile, React + Next.js for the organizer/admin portal, FastAPI (Python) for the backend, and PostgreSQL + pgvector on Supabase (or equivalent). - Utilizing AI tooling such as GPT-4o / Devin-class agents, Copilot-style code generation, and auto-test pipelines to accelerate development from day one. - Setting up infrastructure components like GitHub Actions CI/CD, Docker/K8s deployment, and basic observability tools tailored for pilot scale. - Ensuring fast deployment of core functionalities such as authentication, event marketplace, Stripe/RevenueCat subscriptions, and push/email notifications within two months. - Iterating continuously based on user feedback post-launch and prioritizing feature enhancements for subsequent build cycles. Key Requirements: - Minimum of 5 years of experience in delivering consumer apps end-to-end. - Proficiency in React Native, React (web), and modern Python async frameworks (FastAPI or similar). - Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, Redis, containers, and a major cloud platform (AWS or GCP). - Demonstrated use of advanced AI coding tools in real production settings, supported by metrics or case studies. - Availability for on-site work at a Bangalore coworking hub for four days per week, with one remote workday permitted. - Ability to work within tight timelines and minimal supervision. Preferred Qualifications: - Background in social, event, or subscription platforms. - Familiarity with fairness/bias mitigation in recommendation engines.
