Location: Remote / Hybrid Engagement: Full-time, Founding Team Role We’re looking for a senior AI leader with hands-on healthcare AI experience (medical ASR, NLP, or ICD/CPT automation).Please apply only if you have prior domain experience , to ensure a smoother screening process. 🚀 About the Company We are building a next-generation HIPAA-compliant AI platform that automates medical documentation and coding — transforming doctor–patient conversations into structured SOAP notes , accurate ICD-10/CPT codes , and validated claim-ready reports . Our goal is to reduce clinical documentation time by 80% and ensure error-free claim coding for hospitals and insurance partners. We’re now looking for a Founding Technical Director to design, build, and scale this system from the ground up. 🎯 What You’ll Do Own the complete technical architecture — from medical ASR → NLP → coding → validation → EHR/claim export. Design a scalable, compliant, cloud-based system (HIPAA, GDPR). Build and lead the core ML and engineering team (ASR, NLP, backend, MLOps). Drive vendor evaluation and model fine-tuning for medical ASR and clinical NLP. Architect hybrid AI systems (transformers + KB + rule validation). Establish data ingestion and annotation pipelines with hospital partners. Define accuracy benchmarks, retraining loops, and monitoring dashboards . Work directly with founders to align product roadmap and compliance milestones . Collaborate with clinicians to encode ICD-10/CPT ontologies and payer-specific rules . Oversee integration with EHR (FHIR/HL7) and insurer claim systems. Manage cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, and model version control. 🧠 You Bring 10+ years in AI / data engineering, including 3–5 years in healthcare or clinical informatics . Experience building or leading systems for clinical documentation, ambient scribing, or medical coding . Proven work with medical ASR (e.g., Nuance, AWS HealthScribe, Whisper medical) and NLP models (ClinicalBERT, DeBERTa-med, UMLS/SNOMED linking). Deep understanding of ICD-10/CPT ontologies and claim workflows. Strong system design & programming skills ( Python, FastAPI, PyTorch/TensorFlow, Kubernetes ). Familiarity with FHIR , EHR integrations , HIPAA/GDPR , and data security protocols . Leadership experience: built or managed a technical team, set up MLOps, mentored engineers. Strong product mindset — balancing research ambition with enterprise reliability.
