Foreman & Chargehand - HVAC & Ducting

As a Foreman & Chargehand HVAC & Ducting at a reputed MEP Contracting Company in Dubai, UAE, your role will involve overseeing, coordinating, and executing all HVAC installation and ducting works at the project site. Your responsibilities will include: - Supervising and executing installation of HVAC systems, including ducting, GI/PI ducts, chilled water piping, FCUs, AHUs, and exhaust systems. - Ensuring duct fabrication and installation is completed as per SMACNA/DW144 and project standards. - Coordinating equipment placement, supports, insulation, and accessories installation. - Conducting inspections to ensure proper airflow, alignment, sealing, and finishing. You will also be responsible for: - Leading a team of technicians, duct fitters, helpers, and subcontractors. - Assigning daily tasks and ensuring manpower productivity. - Monitoring daily progress and reporting to the Site Engineer/Project Engineer. - Ensuring timely material requests and maintaining site inventory. Additionally, you will be expected to: - Ensure work is carried out as per approved shop drawings, method statements, and QA/QC requirements. - Conduct quality checks to avoid rework and delays. - Enforce safety regulations and ensure team compliance with HSE standards. Your qualifications and experience should include: - Diploma/ITI in Mechanical Engineering or related field. - 5-10 years of experience in HVAC & ducting installation, preferably in GCC. - Experience working on high-rise buildings, commercial projects, and industrial facilities. You should possess: - Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, ducting fabrication, and installation standards. - Ability to read and interpret HVAC drawings and schematics. - Familiarity with tools, machinery, and duct fabrication processes. Soft skills required for this role: - Strong leadership and team-handling abilities. - Good communication and coordination skills. - Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Preferred qualifications include: - UAE/GCC experience is highly preferred. - Valid UAE driving license (optional but an advantage). - Knowledge of SMACNA, DW144, and related ducting standards.
