About the Role Flour & Dew is an upcoming artisanal pizza and coffee house. We're currently setting up our first café in Pune and are looking for someone with strong hands-on experience in making authentic Neapolitan pizza. You don’t need to be a head chef already — but if you've worked as a Pizzaiolo or Junior Chef and understand the full process from dough to oven, this is an opportunity to take the next step in your career. You’ll work closely with the founders and core team to shape our kitchen and build something meaningful from the ground up. What You’ll Do Refine and perfect our Neapolitan pizza recipes — from dough and fermentation to toppings and baking Help select and test kitchen equipment (oven, tools, etc.) Assist in setting up the kitchen and documenting processes (SOPs) Support in hiring and training additional kitchen team members Lead day-to-day kitchen operations once the café launches What We’re Looking For 1+ years of Hands-on experience with authentic Neapolitan pizza making Strong understanding of dough preparation and fermentation Comfortable working with brick or stone ovens (wood/gas) A collaborative approach and willingness to learn and lead Interest in taking on a growing leadership role and helping set up additional cafés as the brand expands. The role at Flour & Dew is for an artisanal pizza and coffee house in the process of setting up its first cafe in Pune. They are seeking an individual with practical experience in making authentic Neapolitan pizza. While prior experience as a Pizzaiolo or Junior Chef is preferred, being a head chef is not a requirement. This role presents an opportunity for career advancement by working closely with the founders and core team to establish the kitchen and create something impactful from scratch. In this position, the individual will be responsible for refining and perfecting Neapolitan pizza recipes, handling all aspects from dough and fermentation to toppings and baking. Additionally, they will be involved in selecting and testing kitchen equipment, contributing to kitchen setup, documenting processes, participating in hiring and training additional kitchen staff, and overseeing day-to-day kitchen operations post-cafe launch. The ideal candidate should have at least 1 year of hands-on experience in authentic Neapolitan pizza making, a solid grasp of dough preparation and fermentation, familiarity with brick or stone ovens (wood/gas), a collaborative mindset with a willingness to learn and lead, an interest in assuming a growing leadership role, and the ability to assist in establishing future cafes as the brand grows. Candidates should be based in Pune or open to relocating. Compensation will be competitive and determined based on experience during the recruitment process.
