Currently we are in search of a Hull Structural Draftsman to strengthen our office in Kochi, India. Roles and responsibilities for the position, inter alia, include the following: Create detailed 2D drawings and 3D models of ship structures, including hulls, decks, bulkheads, and foundations. Develop assembly and fabrication drawings for shipyards and contractors. Modify and revise designs based on engineering calculations and client feedback. Collaborate with naval architects and structural engineers. Prepare material specifications, cutting lists, and bills of materials (BOM). Assist in reviewing and checking technical drawings for accuracy and completeness. Ensure all drawings meet shipbuilding and marine industry standards. Maintain detailed records and documentation for project reference. Coordinate with shipyards and suppliers to ensure the feasibility of structural designs. Any other roles or responsibilities assigned to you from time to time by the management. The person recruited will be on training for the first six months. Required Qualifications : Minimum diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field. 3 to 5 years of experience as a structural draftsman in the ship building or marine industry. Persons working closer to 3-year experience also can apply provided in case of selection, they are ready to join after acquiring three-year period from the current organization. Good knowledge in AutoCAD and Ship Constructor/ CADMATIC or other drafting software. Experience also in Aveva, Rhino etc are much preferred.
