Roles and Responsibilities: 1. Purchasing Operations: Manage the procurement of raw materials, finished goods, and production items from both inter-company and local sources. Create and establish Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for purchase orders to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery. Work within a set purchasing budget to optimize costs and resources. Maintain tight control over inventory levels, ensuring minimal wastage and stockouts. 2. Vendor Development: Analyze market trends, supplier capabilities, and industry dynamics to identify new sourcing opportunities. Identify and evaluate quality vendors for required products, ensuring that they meet the company's standards. Work closely with vendors to ensure they meet the companys quality standards and eventually certify them as quality suppliers. Oversee and manage ISO 9000-related activities with vendors to ensure compliance with quality management standards. 3. New Product Development: Collaborate with sales, management, and corporate engineering teams to support the development of new products. Estimate costs for new product development based on engineering inputs and materials required. Issue Request for Quotations (RFQs) based on product designs, collect quotes, and evaluate vendors to select the best option. Work with vendors to develop prototypes, ensuring alignment with engineering requirements, and get final sign-off for production. 4. General Responsibilities: Maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and vendors to ensure smooth procurement processes. Negotiate favorable terms and prices with suppliers to maximize cost savings while maintaining product quality. Regularly review inventory reports and collaborate with the production team to forecast purchasing needs. Stay updated on industry trends, new suppliers, and market changes to support proactive sourcing and decision-making. Resolve any purchasing-related issues in a timely manner, ensuring smooth operations and continuous supply. Qualifications and Experience: Experience: 5-6 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain roles, preferably in manufacturing or production. Skills: Strong negotiation skills, vendor management experience, good understanding of inventory management, and familiarity with ISO9000. Education: A Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related fields (a Master's degree or relevant certifications is a plus).
