JOB PURPOSE: The Collection Agent is tasked with calling debtors or clients to collect payments, negotiate settlements, and manage outstanding accounts. This role is critical in maintaining a company’s cash flow and ensuring that debts are recovered in a timely, professional manner. The Collection Agent must balance assertiveness with care to achieve effective results. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Customer Calls: Min 350 calls per day (contactable and noncontactable) OR as defined by management for the assigned process. Payment Collection: Ensure maximisation of Collection amount as per assigned targets. Report all collections accurately. 3. Negotiation: Negotiate payment plans with clients unable to pay the full amount. Offer settlement options within the company’s guidelines. Account Management: Keep detailed records of all communications. Update the company’s database with payment details and follow-up information. Debt Recovery: Work with the collections team to implement debt recovery strategies. Report any clients or cases that may require legal action. Customer Service: Act as the company’s representative and maintain a professional and courteous demeanour. Address client questions or concerns regarding payments, policies, or account status. Maintaining a healthy relationship with Client team. Compliance: Ensure adherence to company policies and local laws regarding debt collection. Respect clients' privacy and confidentiality.
