Fitreak is building the next-gen fitness & wellness commerce ecosystem, and we’re looking for a highly skilled Senior Java Developer with strong DevOps experience to lead the development of our backend CMS and core platform infrastructure. This is a foundational technical role where you will own the backbone of our system — from architecting the backend, building scalable APIs, maintaining platform security, to ensuring smooth deployments across environments. Key Responsibilities Architect and build Fitreak’s backend CMS from the ground up — including content workflows, vendor modules, product management, and admin tools. Develop, optimize, and document RESTful APIs powering our marketplace, user systems, payments, and order management. Lead Java-based backend engineering , ensuring high performance, reliability, and scalability. Set up and manage full DevOps pipelines including CI/CD, automated deployments, and cloud infrastructure. Monitor performance, logging, scaling, and uptime , ensuring our platform stays fast, stable, and ready for growth. Implement strong security practices , including authentication, authorization, data encryption, and secure API communication. Collaborate with frontend, product, and design teams to deliver seamless user experiences. Optimize database schemas and queries for large-scale data operations. Troubleshoot production issues , improve system observability, and continuously refine backend processes. Required Skills & Experience (3–4 years) Strong proficiency in Java (Spring Boot preferred) Hands-on experience building scalable backend systems and microservices Expertise in REST APIs, backend architecture, and performance optimization Solid experience with DevOps — Docker, CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes, or similar Familiarity with AWS / GCP / Azure cloud environments Strong understanding of database design (MySQL/PostgreSQL) Experience with security best practices , authentication, and role-based access Exposure to CMS development or backend admin systems is a bonus Ability to take ownership, work independently, and deliver in a fast-moving startup environment Work Mode Fully Remote — work from anywhere, collaborate async, and move fast with a small agile team.
