Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Firefighting Draftsman to join our MEP/Fire Protection team. The ideal candidate should be skilled in preparing detailed fire protection system drawings and coordinating with engineers and project teams to ensure accuracy and compliance with standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed firefighting layouts (sprinkler system, hydrant, hose reel, pump room, etc.).
• Create shop drawings, as-built drawings, and coordination drawings.
• Ensure drawings comply with NFPA, NBC, and local authority regulations.
• Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and MEP teams.
• Modify drawings based on client/consultant comments.
• Prepare schematics, equipment schedules, and BOQ (if required).
• Maintain and update drawing documentation and revisions.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Diploma / ITI in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD;
• Sound understanding of NFPA standards, NBC, and firefighting systems.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Preferred Experience

• Background in MEP consulting or contracting firms.
• Experience with commercial, residential, or industrial projects.
