The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in handling high-voltage cable manufacturing processes (11KV to 500kV), including operating machines such as Troester, Maillefer, and Supermac. The role involves supporting the extrusion process by managing material handling, machine settings, quality checks, and assisting in achieving production efficiency. Key Responsibilities: Operate and assist in the setup of VCV/CCV extrusion lines (e.g., Troester, Maillefer, Supermac). Support recipe creation and machine touch panel operations. Perform compound handling, sleeve and hand joint making, and male–female joints. Handle tools for assembling and dismantling extrusion heads. Assist in take-up, payoff, seal fixing, and managing reel changes. Ensure product quality by maintaining required XLPE/SEMICON/EPR insulation thickness. Monitor and report machine efficiency and performance. Maintain 5S practices and cleanliness on the shop floor. Record production data in logbooks, DPRs, and reports. Coordinate with team members and follow safety protocols. Required Skills and Qualifications: Minimum Intermediate Examination (XII) pass /ITI /Technical Diploma (Engineering) preferred. 5–8 years of relevant experience in CCV/VCV extrusion lines. Familiarity with high-voltage cable types and insulation materials (XLPE, HDPE , etc.). Good understanding of extrusion tools, machine settings, and cable standards. Basic computer and panel operation skills. Ability to read job cards and follow SOPs. Knowledge of safety and fire prevention in a manufacturing environment. Preferred Attributes: Team player with strong communication skills. Willingness to work in shifts and under pressure. Quality- and safety-conscious mindset.

Reporting To: GM Operations (Plant Head) Job Purpose: To lead and optimize the full spectrum of production operations at an Extra High Voltage (EHV) cable manufacturing facility. The role demands leadership in planning, quality, safety, process efficiency, and cross-functional coordination to ensure timely, cost-effective, and standard-compliant output of EHV cables (up to 500kV). Key Responsibilities: Production & Operations Management Manage all production floor activities to ensure output of EHV cables meets daily, weekly, and monthly targets. Execute production scheduling and machine allocation in sync with dispatch deadlines. Supervise manufacturing all machines with VCV lines. Ensure SOPs and operational standards are strictly followed. Quality & Process Control Maintain ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, and IEC/IS/BS standards compliance. Drive real-time quality control throughout all cable production processes. Coordinate with QA for validation, certifications, and customer inspections. Safety, Compliance & EHS Implement and enforce all EHS standards and safety protocols. Conduct regular toolbox talks, hazard audits, and safety trainings. Ensure safe workplace culture with zero tolerance for violations. Resource & Inventory Planning Coordinate with planning, purchase, and stores for timely availability of raw materials (Cu/Al conductors, XLPE, HDPE, PVC, Tape, Dispatch Drum, and Machine Tools etc.). Optimize RM consumption and reduce scrap below industry benchmarks Team Leadership & Development Lead and mentor a team of engineers, supervisors, and operators across shifts. Identify skill gaps and arrange continuous training programs. Establish KPIs and ensure high-performance team culture. Technology, Automation & Continuous Improvement Lead lean manufacturing, TPM, Kaizen, 5S, and low-cost automation initiatives. Implement process automation, tools design, and line speed optimization techniques. Maintain minimal downtime and high productivity through preventive maintenance strategies. Reporting & MIS Prepare and review daily production reports, scrap analysis, and resource utilization. Provide timely MIS inputs and strategic suggestions to top management. Maintain accurate documentation for audits and compliance. Qualifications: Education: BE/B.Tech in Electrical, Mechanical, or Production Engineering (MBA/PGDM is a plus) Experience: 12 to 20 years in power cable manufacturing, with at least 5 years in managing EHV cable production (up to 220kV/400kV/500kV) Key Skills & Competencies: • In-depth knowledge of EHV cable processes: conductor making, XLPE insulation, sheathing, curing, armoring. • Familiar with IEC /ISO/IS standards. • Strong command of SAP/S4 HANA or similar ERP systems. • Excellent leadership, planning, problem-solving, and communication skills. • Strong grasp of tooling, extrusion ratio, line speed calculations, and drum design. Certifications Preferred: • Six Sigma / Lean Manufacturing Certification • PMP or similar Project Management credential • EHS/OHSAS Certification
