About Peach mode

Peachmode is a leading women's ethnic fashion brand known for bringing modern, trend-led, and culturally rich designs to today's consumer. We are seeking a creative Fashion Designer who specialises in ethnic wear and can focus exclusively on design development, trend research, and collection creation.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Development

• Create fresh, trend-driven designs and patterns for women's ethnic wear (Salwar Suits, Kurtis, Tops & Tunics, Co-ord sets, fusion wear, etc.)
• Conduct continuous research on new trends, silhouettes, embroideries, techniques, and fabrics relevant to Indian ethnic wear.
• Develop mood boards, colour stories, seasonal themes, and design concepts aligned with Peachmodes' brand identity.
• Translate concepts into detailed sketches, CADs, and production-ready design packs.

Sampling & Production

• Select suitable fabrics, trims, embroideries, and embellishments for each design.
• Work closely with pattern makers to develop accurate patterns and supervise sample garment creation.
• Coordinate with technical designers to ensure design packs, measurement sheets, and specifications are precise.
• Perform quality checks on samples and production pieces to ensure finishing, fit, and detailing meet brand standards.

Vendor Coordination

• Liaise with external vendors, artisans, and manufacturers for sampling and bulk production.
• Monitor production timelines, resolve design-related issues, and ensure on-time delivery of styles.
• Ensure smooth communication between design, merchandising, and production teams.

Market & Trend Analysis

• Track emerging trends in ethnic wear, fabrics, colours, shapes, and consumer preferences.
• Study competitor brands and market shifts to constantly enhance Peachmode's product range.

Requirements

• Bachelors/Masters degree in Fashion Design or related field.
• Proven experience in ethnic wear design (4+ years preferred).
• Strong creativity, sketching ability, and understanding of Indian fashion aesthetics.
• Knowledge of fabrics, trims, surface techniques, embroidery, and garment construction.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and time-management skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple collections simultaneously.
