Role Overview: As the Co-founder & COO at Buzzzest, a fashion brand specializing in made-to-measure clothing and personalized styling recommendations, you will be instrumental in managing the clothing operations, developing strategies, and overseeing the design division. Your primary focus will involve translating design concepts into technical sketches, creating patterns, and ensuring high-quality production processes are maintained. Key Responsibilities: - Develop fashion collections that align with the brand's aesthetics and current market trends. - Convert design ideas into technical flats and specifications. - Create and grade patterns for various garment sizes to ensure precision and fit. - Source premium materials that meet design requirements and functionality. - Supervise sample production, conduct fit sessions, and refine patterns as needed. - Stay updated on fashion trends and garment construction methods. - Collaborate with co-founders to establish the personal fashion styling segment of the business. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or a related field. - 2-3 years of experience in Fashion Design with a focus on patternmaking. - Demonstrated ability to transform design concepts into technical sketches and patterns. - Proficient in patternmaking techniques, grading, and fit. - Familiarity with CAD and other relevant fashion design software. - Sound knowledge of garment construction and fabric varieties. - A robust portfolio showcasing design and patternmaking expertise.
