Fantasy Game Product Manager

You will be joining WhatheFootball, a company dedicated to creating the ultimate destination for football fans in India. From organizing live screenings and fan events to engaging with the community through digital gaming, WhatheFootball aims to provide a new-age fan experience tailored for modern football enthusiasts. The company is expanding into fantasy-style interactive games and is seeking a product-minded individual to spearhead the design and implementation of real-money, skill-based football games. As the Fantasy Game Product Manager, your role will involve conceptualizing, structuring, and overseeing fantasy or prediction-style games for users. This non-technical position will primarily focus on game design, rules, compliance, and monetization. You will collaborate closely with design, tech, marketing, and legal teams to ensure that the games are engaging, competitive, and compliant with regulations. Your responsibilities will include designing and developing various fantasy and prediction-based game formats, ensuring legal compliance under the "Game of Skill" definition in India, working with UI/UX teams to create user-friendly interfaces, collaborating with the tech team for game implementation and launch, analyzing gameplay data for enhancements, planning game launches around major football events, and suggesting new formats for user retention and acquisition. To be successful in this role, you should have at least 2 years of experience in product, sports operations, or gaming roles, a solid understanding of fantasy sports or prediction-based gaming formats, in-depth knowledge of football and fan behavior, strong analytical skills, proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets, familiarity with Indian laws related to skill-based real-money games, excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and creativity. Preferred qualifications include prior experience with fantasy sports platforms, expertise in monetization strategies and contest structuring, exposure to UI/UX collaboration and product lifecycle management, and a genuine passion for football along with an understanding of European or Indian football ecosystems.
