The company, a manufacturer and distributor of high-integrity machine tools and a leading indigenous Agribusiness in Nigeria, is seeking a Chief Technology Officer for their Cashew Processing factory in Nigeria. As the Chief Technology Officer, your responsibilities will include developing and implementing strategies to enhance manufacturing efficiencies by ensuring consistent plant and equipment availability. You will be tasked with managing relationships with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) to integrate them into the innovation process management and equipment maintenance plan. Additionally, you will translate strategic manufacturing and engineering objectives into specific business targets, action plans, and measurement mechanisms. Leading the development and deployment of new technology applications and processes will also be a key aspect of your role. You will be responsible for strengthening quality management systems, minimizing non-quality costs, coordinating planning, scheduling, and production operations, and driving the achievement of Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost objectives. Furthermore, you will plan and coordinate manufacturing and maintenance operations to maximize return on assets, minimize manufacturing costs, and provide manufacturing and engineering input to new product development processes. Collaborating closely with Quality, Supply Chain, Finance, Sales & Marketing teams will be essential to optimize the entire value stream from the customer perspective. The ideal candidate for this position should hold a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, with an MBA or other professional qualifications considered as an added advantage. A minimum of 20 years of experience in engineering equipment manufacturing is required, along with a good knowledge of technical production facility management and hands-on experience in fabrication and machine shops management. Proficiency in reading and understanding Engineering Drawings, experience in machining engineering components using Conventional and Computer Numerical Control Machine Tools, and knowledge of fabrication and foundry technology are also essential.
