As a Quality Specialist at Konecranes, you will be an integral part of our Quality team, focusing on the manufacturing and service industry. Your main responsibilities will include overseeing Inbound & Supplier quality processes and managing Non-Conformities (NC). Your duties will involve: - Inspecting incoming components and conducting inspections at vendor sites. - Verifying vendor inspection documents and certificates. - Witnessing NDT tests at vendor locations and verifying test certificates. - Developing Quality Assurance Plans (QAP). - Analyzing rejections, rating vendors, and communicating with them effectively. - Managing Quality Management Information System (MIS). - Handling material inward and transfer in SAP, including goods receipt. - Managing Non-Conformities (NC). - Addressing customer warranty issues. To excel in this role, we are looking for candidates who possess the following qualifications: - A degree/diploma in mechanical engineering or equivalent. - 2-4 years of experience in QA/QC/SQA. - Knowledge of various parts such as forged, machined, casted, and fabricated, along with inspection methodologies. - Understanding of Heat Treatment processes and Metallurgical properties of steel. - Familiarity with manufacturing processes and identification of failure modes. - Ability to interpret Mechanical drawings and Electric circuit diagrams. - Experience in preparing QAP/CP. - Proficiency in root cause analysis. - Familiarity with NDT techniques like UT, LPT, RT interpretation, and verification of Test certificates. - Knowledge of electrical components. - Proficiency in SAP. - Ability to lead a small team. - Experience in the crane industry is preferred but not mandatory. - Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, and ISO 45001:2018 standards. Roles and Responsibilities Plan, coordinate, and execute purchase activities for machine parts, fabricated parts, and other materials required by production lines. Develop and maintain relationships with vendors to negotiate prices, delivery schedules, and quality standards. Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their capabilities. Ensure timely delivery of goods while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues related to procurement planning and execution. Desired Candidate Profile 1-6 years of experience in purchasing or procurement role in an industrial setting (preferably manufacturing industry). Diploma/B.Tech/B.E. degree in Mechanical or Production/Industrial field; MBA/PGDM preferred but not mandatory. Strong understanding of Bought Out (BO) processes and C Class item management.
