The Laundry Service Engineer will be responsible for installation, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of laundry & dry-cleaning equipment (washers, dryers, wet-cleaning machines, solvent-based machines, presses, finishing equipment, etc.) across FABOs store network. The role is critical in ensuring >95% machine uptime , smooth store operations, and supporting store teams and franchise partners with technical expertise. Key Responsibilities 1. Installation & Commissioning Install, calibrate, and test new laundry & dry-cleaning equipment at FABO stores and central plants. Ensure proper machine setup as per manufacturer specifications and safety standards. Train store staff on machine usage and basic troubleshooting post-installation. 2. Preventive Maintenance Develop and execute preventive maintenance schedules for all equipment. Conduct regular inspections to minimize breakdowns and extend machine life. Maintain logs of service records, part replacements, and calibrations. 3. Troubleshooting & Repairs Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and software faults in laundry equipment. Carry out timely repairs to minimize downtime and maintain service levels. Coordinate with vendors/manufacturers for warranty claims and major repairs. 4. Vendor & Inventory Management Coordinate with suppliers for spare parts availability and timely replacements. Maintain inventory of critical spares and consumables. Support Head – Operations & Maintenance in AMC/vendor performance reviews. 5. Compliance & Safety Ensure all machines adhere to safety, hygiene, and environmental regulations. Train store staff on safe equipment handling practices. Follow ISO / BIS / internal compliance guidelines. Key Requirements Diploma / ITI / B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering. 3–5 years of experience in industrial laundry, dry-cleaning, hospitality, or facility equipment maintenance . Strong hands-on knowledge of washers, dryers, solvent-based and wet-cleaning machines, press tables, and boilers. Ability to read technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and machine schematics. Good communication and training skills to support store teams and franchise partners. Willingness to travel extensively across FABO’s store network.
