The contract is for 1 year and may be extended depending on the client. Job Location is Kochi. Eyelander Digital Pvt. Ltd. provides contractual staffing to overseas clients from our offices in India, where people are on Eyelander Digital's payroll and work directly with clients. This is a contractual role where the candidate will work directly with our client who is based in USA and trades across global markets. Candidates should have strong accounting experience (10 years or more), excellent advanced excel skills, experience with Netsuite and should be able to speak fluent English It is initially a one year contract and can be extended based on client requirements. The Client is a proprietary trading firm with operations in Jersey City, Chicago and London engaged in the purchase and sale of financial instruments for its own account by employing quantitative, high- and medium-frequency algorithmic trading strategies across equities and futures markets, both on U.S. and international exchanges and trading venues. The Company invests significant resources in research and technology development, including the design and enhancement of proprietary trading algorithms, execution infrastructure, and data- driven analytical tools. The Company’s technology team collaborates closely with quantitative researchers to optimize trading models, latency management, and capital allocation strategies. The firm’s proprietary systems are continuously refined to improve efficiency, execution quality, and adaptability across global markets. The Company does not solicit or accept customer funds, does not engage in retail brokerage activity, and does not hold itself out to the public as an investment adviser or broker. Position Summary: The Senior Accountant will play a key role in the day-to-day accounting operations, monthly close, and financial reporting of the company’s entities. The role requires a strong understanding of GAAP / U.S. GAAP, NetSuite ERP, and multi-entity consolidation in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in financial services industry with hands-on experience related to intercompany transactions and cost allocations between affiliates while maintaining a focus on internal controls and process improvement. Key Responsibilities: 1. Accounting & Month-End Close  Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and prepayments in NetSuite.  Process and reconcile vendor payments and employee reimbursements.  Reconcile corporate credit card activity.  Reconcile general ledger accounts including cash, receivables, payables, intercompany balances.  Maintain accuracy of the trial balance and ensure all adjustments are supported by proper documentation.  Assist in multi-entity consolidation and elimination entries. 2. Financial Reporting & Analysis  Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements in compliance with U.S. GAAP.  Support management reporting, variance analyses, and reconciliations across entities.  Assist with audit schedules and respond to auditor requests in coordination with the U.S. team.  Contribute to the development of internal dashboards and KPI tracking within NetSuite or other business intelligence tools. 3. Process Improvement & Systems  Maintain and enhance accounting workflows in NetSuite, including advanced modules (e.g., AP Automation, Vendor Bill Capture, payroll processing).  Identify automation opportunities in transaction processing, reconciliations, and reporting.  Collaborate with IT/Finance systems to implement process controls and data integrity checks. 4. Compliance & Controls  Ensure adherence to internal control policies (SOX-light framework).  Support documentation of accounting procedures and month-end checklists. Qualifications:  Bachelor’s degree in Commerce / Accounting, (CPA, CA, or equivalent preferred).  10+ years of accounting experience, including at least 2 years working with NetSuite ERP.  Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP and multi-entity consolidations.  Experience preparing and reviewing reconciliations, journal entries, and financial statements.  Strong Excel and data-management skills; exposure to NetSuite reporting tools  Experience within financial services industry preferred.  Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across time zones.
