Export Operations & Sales Manager About Export Paradip At Export Paradip, we are positioning ourselves as a key export gateway on India’s eastern coast. Based at Paradip Port, Odisha, we specialise in exporting iron ore, marine produce, agro commodities, & ferro alloys. Our mission is to serve global clients with operational excellence & reliability. Role Overview We’re seeking an ambitious Export Operations & Sales Manager to oversee export logistics & drive business development. You’ll be the vital link between suppliers, operational teams & new global buyers ensuring product quality, procedural compliance & timely delivery, while also growing our export footprint. Key Responsibilities: Export Operations Oversee the entire export process supplier coordination, quality control, packaging, documentation, customs clearance & shipment dispatch Liaise with freight forwarders, shipping lines, port authorities & logistics partners for smooth operations. Ensure full compliance with regulatory standards: customs, phytosanitary, quality certifications & health/safety regulations. Maintain, verify & process export documentation such as commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, bills of lading & more. Monitor KPIs (shipment timelines, export costs, documentation accuracy) & implement improvements to optimize operations. Sales & Client Acquisition Source new global clients across sectors (importers, distributors, wholesalers), particularly in key markets such as Southeast Asia, Middle East, Europe & North America. Present Export Paradip’s strengths strategic location, cost efficiency, product range to potential buyers. Build long term partnerships with both buyers & local suppliers to ensure steady supply & demand alignment. Prepare compelling quotations, negotiate terms & follow through from inquiry to export completion. Act as the company’s ambassador in trade shows, buyer meetings & digital outreach initiatives to enhance brand visibility. Supplier Engagement & Collaboration Identify, vet & onboard reliable local suppliers in Odisha & adjacent regions. Conduct regular supplier audits to ensure consistent product quality, sustainable practices & supply reliability. Negotiate supply contracts to ensure favorable pricing, volumes & delivery timelines. Required Qualifications & Skills Education : Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, International Business, Logistics, or a related field. Advanced degrees or export certifications (e.g., CILT, CIFFA) are a plus. Experience : Minimum 4 years in export operations & sales/business development preferably within export oriented industries (mineral, agro, marine, or metal sectors). Export Knowledge : Strong understanding of Indian export processes, documentation norms, customs rules & shipping procedures from Paradip Port. Sales Acumen : Ability to generate leads, close deals & manage client relationships across borders. Soft Skills : Excellent communication, negotiation, stakeholder coordination & problem solving skills. Tech Savvy : Proficient in MS Office & export related software, experience with ERP or TMS systems is beneficial. Attributes : Proactive, goal driven, adaptable & ready to operate in a fast paced export environment. Willingness to travel for supplier visits, buyer meetings, or port coordination is essential.
