Key responsibilities Booking and coordination: Arranging and confirming transportation (flights, trains, car rentals) and accommodations according to client needs and preferences. Itinerary management: Creating, maintaining, and updating detailed travel itineraries and ensuring all travel documents are delivered accurately and on time. Customer service: Acting as a point of contact for clients, responding to inquiries, and providing support throughout their travel experience. Issue resolution: Handling and resolving unexpected travel-related issues, emergencies, or complaints promptly and efficiently. Supplier relations: Liaising with and negotiating rates with various travel providers like airlines, hotels, and tour operators. Financial and administrative tasks: Managing budgets, processing payments, and maintaining financial records related to travel expenses. Compliance and reporting: Ensuring all travel adheres to company policies and government regulations and providing reports on travel expenditures and trends. Essential skills and qualifications Organizational skills: Meticulous attention to detail to manage complex logistics and multiple bookings. Problem-solving: The ability to think quickly and resolve issues that may arise during a trip. Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with clients and suppliers. Technical proficiency: Experience with online booking tools and travel management software is often required. Industry knowledge: A background in the travel, tourism, or hospitality industries can be beneficial. Business acumen: Skills in budget management and cost control are often necessary.
