Expert Design Engineer - Piping

Job Description

1. Should go through the scope of work, Project documentation, Standards & guide lines before commencement of work. 2. Preparation of LOD (List of Deliverables) after discussing with Project Manager/Project coordinator. 3. Assigning tasks to each team member. 4. Reviewing the project on a regular basis. 5. To ensure that the Safety Management System and Quality Assurance requirements are followed throughout the engineering phase. 6. The ability to listen, respond, interact, and communicate successfully and appropriately with the team. 7. The ability to address conflict/challenges related to Piping design and resolve them. 8. Improvises and improves processes to meet requirements. 9. To guide/clarify juniors & checkers on routing, project related queries and any other necessary support required 10. To provide the timely information to the team members to complete the project 11. Mentors others key skills and processes and shares best practices. 12. To study the P&IDs and give inputs to designers on pipe routing and modifications (if Engineer/Design engineers are not available) 13. Checking of deliverables like Isometrics, GADs, Bill of Materials etc executed by the designers. (If Engineer/checker is not available) 14. Final reviewing of documents received by checkers 15. To represent the department and/or Company in internal Company meetings or wherever elsewhere worldwide, with client, subcontractors, suppliers etc. 16. To conduct regular team meetings to monitor the progress of the project & suggest or plan with the help of department manager to meet the project deadline. 17. To plan & suggest for the training activities as & when required. 18. Development of conceptual equipment layouts and piping layouts. 19. Maintain proper documentation during project life cycle. Any other relevant activities as defined by the Manager/lead"
