Within Group Trucks Technology, we are seeking talents to help design sustainable transportation solutions for the future. We are currently looking for an Experienced Engineer - Controls within Volvo GTT Cab Development. In this role, you will be responsible for the design and development of all components in the interior controls area, including Upper Controls (Steering column/shaft, Steering wheel, airbags) and Lower controls (complete pedal unit). As an Engineer, you will work across all engineering phases, from advanced engineering to concept generation, detailed development, and industrialization. Your tasks will involve engineering documentation using Catia V5 and Kola, writing technical specifications, leading supplier teams, defining product structure, and collaborating closely with various stakeholders. The ideal candidate should have 3-5 years of Mechanical Engineering experience with a minimum of 3 years in Automotive or Cabin development. An understanding of design constraints of manufacturing processes, experience in airbag development, knowledge of legal demands for components/systems, and testing and validation expertise are required. Proficiency in CAD systems, particularly Catia V5, and experience with PDM systems are considered advantageous.
