As a member of the Chassis Structure and Battery Box team at Volvo Group, you will play a crucial role in designing cutting-edge solutions for sustainable transport. Your work will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop advanced structures like ESS, Battery Box Structure, and other chassis components to meet market requirements. Here are the key responsibilities and qualifications for this role: **Core Responsibilities:** - Design and develop Advanced Structures like ESS, Battery Box Structure, and other chassis structures based on truck market needs - Gather technical specifications and prepare technical requirements documents for components - Develop concepts and review them with cross-functional teams - Release products for Concept, Development, and Industrialization phases - Collaborate with partners and suppliers for component development - Address technical issues in coordination with suppliers and cross-functional teams - Define verification and validation needs to ensure designs meet business targets - Manage topics with Global XFs and Suppliers worldwide - Adapt to organizational changes and needs in different technical areas **Qualifications and Needed Competences:** - B.E/M.E in Mech/Automobile Engineering with 5-7 years of relevant experience - Hands-on experience in Automotive Structural components - Good knowledge of GD&T applications - Understanding of Chassis Equipments packaging, routing, and development - Experience in the heavy commercial vehicle industry, familiarity with CAD Tools (CREO), Volvo Tools, and Processes is a plus - Basic knowledge of Agile Way of working is advantageous **Other Required Competencies:** - Excellent communication and collaboration skills - Action-oriented with the ability to work independently and deliver within agreed timelines - Enthusiastic about learning new technologies - Customer-centric mindset focused on delivering value - Ownership mindset with a focus on influencing outcomes - Team player with high energy and interest in global collaboration - Willingness to take new initiatives beyond the immediate work area - Innovative mindset If you are ready to make a real impact in the transportation industry and bring your skills and disruptive ideas to the table, we encourage you to apply to join Volvo Group.
