Role & responsibilities

Project Expeditor / Field Expeditor Oil & Gas Refinery / EPC Project

Key Responsibilities

• Track and expedite purchase orders, supplier manufacturing and shipping schedules.
• Chair kickoff and status review meetings with suppliers and project teams.
• Maintain and distribute weekly criticalitem and material status reports.
• Monitor vendor performance and escalate delays with recovery plans.
• Perform field visits to supplier/vendor sites to inspect manufacturing milestones (inspection/FAT/testing).
• Verify production progress, quality compliance, packing standards, documentation, and dispatch readiness (RFS).
• escalate issues with corrective actions to procurement/project teams.
• Assist QA/QC in scheduling and witnessing vendor inspections.
• Monitor vendor documentation submissions (e.g. Vendor Document Register, test certificates, BOS), ensuring completeness per project requirements.
• Coordinate logistics readiness, customs/EXIM formalities, and shipping planning in coordination with SCM and logistics.
• Update the Material Status Report and field expediting trackers to reflect real-time shipment and documentation status.
• Escalate critical delays or quality deviations to project leadership for mitigation actions.

Qualification & Experience

• Engineering degree (Mechanical/Electrical/Instrumentation) or equivalent. Diploma acceptable with extensive expediting experience.
• 4 to 5 years of expediting experience in the oil & gas or refinery sector, including field-level site expediting.

Desired Attributes

• Familiarity with major refinery equipment: valves, piping, switchgear, compressors, instrumentation, etc.
• Strong organizational and field coordination skills.
• Ability to travel and manage vendor-side logistics in multiple locations.
• Knowledge of customs, quality standards (ISO 9001, etc.) and documentation control.
