Position Details Job Title: Business Development Executive (Import/Export) Industry: FMCG / Beverages Location: SURAT Number of Positions: 1 Work Mode: On-site Working Hours: 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM / 6 days per week Objectives of the Role To identify new business opportunities in international markets and expand the company’s global presence. To build and maintain strong relationships with overseas clients, suppliers, and business partners. To manage import/export operations, documentation, and coordination to ensure smooth transactions. To support strategic growth through market research, lead generation, and sales development. Key Responsibilities Identify and develop new business opportunities in international markets. Conduct market research to understand global demand, pricing trends, and competitor activity. Communicate and negotiate with international buyers, suppliers, and agents. Manage complete import/export operations including inquiries, quotations, shipments, and logistics coordination. Prepare and maintain required documentation such as invoices, packing lists, BL/AWB, LC, etc. Follow up with shipping lines, freight forwarders, CHA, and logistics partners. Ensure compliance with export-import regulations, documentation standards, and government policies. Handle order processing, tracking, and delivery follow-ups with clients. Build and manage strong customer relationships to ensure repeat business. Maintain sales records, prepare performance reports, and achieve assigned sales targets. Attend trade fairs, exhibitions, and networking events when required. Explore new markets, develop strategies, and contribute fresh ideas for business expansion. Required Skills & Qualifications Experience in import/export or international business development Strong communication and negotiation skills in English. Knowledge of export-import documentation, shipping terms, logistics, and customs clearance. Ability to identify market opportunities and convert leads into sales. Good understanding of international trade practices and government regulations. Proficiency in MS Office, email communication, and CRM tools. Strong analytical, organizational, and follow-up skills.
