We’re looking for someone patient and super-organised to work in our Bricklaying and Maintenance team to teach our new apprenticeships in roofing- sheeting and cladding and slating and tiling. You don’t need any teaching experience / qualifications for this role, but you’ll need some industry experience in roofing. watch this video to hear Dan's story. You’ll need to be… organised and reliable supportive, patient and approachable confident with industry-specific tools and machinery, with a great knack for explaining things simply and clearly flexible and happy muck to in and do what’s needed knowledgeable about / experienced in roofing sheeting and/or slating What you’ll be doing… Teaching apprentices how to slate and tile roofs Teaching apprentices how to install sheeting materials to roofs Creating and designing resources for use in teaching Assessing learners and giving feedback Working as part of a team to deliver exceptional learning experiences In return, you’ll get… £29.25 + (£4.62 market forces supplement) per hour of teaching a total of £33.87! a whopping 28% pension. No, that’s not a typo. Join our Electrical team in one of the best Construction faculties in the UK. This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone committed outstanding teaching, learning and assessment. Ideally you’ll have experience of tutoring/mentoring apprentices or students with a wide range of learning differences. You’ll teach and assess learners’ progress whilst demonstrating a professional approach to the planning, delivery and assessment of teaching and training. As well as academic success you’ll also support your learners pastorally via group tutorials, one to one support and target setting as well as liaising with parents to ensure learners are supported and able to achieve.
