Job Title: Senior Software Engineer - Network & Security Locations: Bangalore / Hyderabad / Chennai (On-site) Job Type: Contract / Fulltime (with Excelon Solutions Pvt. Ltd.) Roles and Responsibilities: Would be part of a team involved in developing software for a security solution that involves development in SW data path, control plane and system infrastructure; the solutions will be cloud-native in a virtualized/containerized environment. This work would involve developing and integrating features with software-based data-path based on VPP/DPDK. Security infrastructure and solutions to be developed and integrated. Experience in Data Center networking and developing data-plane and forwarding components is a plus. Prior experience in identifying, integrating/enhancing open-source software, for networking protocols, firewall, Secure Web Gateway, next-gen FW components is highly desirable. As an individual contributor, one should be a team player and should work in a multi-site mode along with other teams in different time zones as well. Ability to work independently with a high-level guidance is a must. The skill set required: Engineers with work experience in WAN technologies & protocols, proficiency in switching and routing principles and familiarity with SDWAN architectures and components, especially the security related ones like IPSec, SWG, NGFW, IDS/IPS, stateful firewall, etc. Security related Expertise: Knowledge of network security principles & practices Experience with firewalls intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS) & secure access controls Skills in anomaly, threat detection, and incident response methodologies Understanding of encryption technologies and secure tunnelling Experience in providing secure platform infrastructure.
